What is a leprechaun trap?

I am not sure what exactly the leprechaun trap is all about. It was not around when I was kid. Was it around when you were a kid? My kids came home with traps for the leprechaun. What is it suppose to do? So we decided to put a box of Lucky Charms in it the night before St. Patrick’s day.

Green! Who likes the color green? It is an amazing color. Leprechauns must like green. Green is a fresh and new color associated with wealth for many.

Earlier in the week, we painted clovers and shamrocks. I taught my kids how to use white and black to make tints and shades of green. The clovers and shamrocks were a lot of fun.

While the children were alseep, I took the clovers and wrote some messages on them. They were messages like:

• Nice try, but you did not get me.
• Thank you for the gift.
• Hope you weren’t disappointed when you see I am not captured.
• I left you treats for your efforts.

I spread through the living room to the pot of candy. When the kids woke up, we read the messages and saw the treats. I am still not sure what the leprechaun traps are all about, but we figured out some fun with it.
