How Time Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

Here is how time leads to selling Teachers Pay Teachers products. Over three years ago I discovered Teachers Pay Teachers. This was before I think it was as well know in some schools by many teachers. Then I started watching YouTube videos about teachers who put together products and sold them on Teachers Pay Teachers. I looked at Pinterest sites and read some blog sites about the process to make Teacher Pay Teacher products. And I started to fool around with making products. With only a laptop, PowerPoint, a basic printer/scanner, and a cell phone camera, I played around. But I did not put in the time needed to make many products. I had 3-4 completed and probably sellable resources. I posted them and nothing happened.

One of my first Teachers Pay Teachers Products that took a lot of time to make when I was learning how much PowerPoint could do.

How Time Will Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

Some teachers were making extensive extra money and some were leaving their fulltime teaching careers. What I found was how time leads to selling Teachers Pay Teachers products. After reading and listening to these teachers, I started to realize that I wanted to do what they were doing. Now that I have 15 products posted over the course of six months, I can understand the time commitment. Here are the things that teachers say take time and will lead to selling Teachers Pay Teachers products.

Apparently Seasonal Themed Products Sell Best
My most recent product took less time because I reuse the same format.

Number One about How Time Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

First, devoting and setting aside time to actually work on the products. Last summer, I took most of my spare time to make products. This is how I have about 15 products now. When school started, I not longer had as much time to devote to making products. Even the lessons I teach in school are difficult to format and prettify for the Teachers Pay Teachers store. Because it is a given, that people what pretty things on Teachers Pay Teachers. But they also want things that will make their lives easier in the classroom.

Recently, I heard a YouTuber say that a teacher must spend an hour a day on making their products in order to get them in their store for success. So going forward, I am going to give this a try. I will keep you posted in an updated blog post to see how this plays out.

Number Two about How Products Lead to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

While making these products, it takes time to build up the Teachers Pay Teachers store. Another YouTuber shared that when she finally made 50 products and posted them, that was when she started to see money come in. Then she shared that when she made 100 products and posted them, she saw how the profit paid off all the up front work. So like any true business, it isn’t going to happen over night. It takes time.

Setting a goal of the number of products I want to make each month or each week, seems reasonable. In the next five months, if I make 3 products, then by June I will have 30 products in my store. If I take the summer and invest even more, then I could triple the outcome. How about 9 products per month. Let’s average three months at 9 products. This will give me 27 additional products. Then there will be three remaining months in the year when school starts. If I complete two a month that will give me 6 more. So by the end of 2022 I will have 63 products. Do you see how it just takes time? If I would have started three years ago, I could just possible be seeing the outcome of my 100 plus products now. So do not delay.

Many sellers do not know that the first product must be free on Teachers Pay Teachers. I knew this but did not know that I should limit the page count to under 10. So I gave away two products free that were close to 20 pages and could have been profitable. Since learning this I have made those products inactive and made a teaser product with the rain boot drawing.

Number Three about How Marketing Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

Now there is the marketing side of things. I have played around with Pinterest pins, YouTube, Facebook, and Linked In. Being apart of Facebook groups that have like minded individuals is great because most of the time the people are willing to answer questions. So you can learn from others. It is very kind. However, I do not know how to market on Facebook without paying for adds. The only thing I that I can figure is posting images of your products and then your followers see it and maybe want to buy it. But you need followers then, which leads to a different investment of time and learning. So I currently stay away from this one. This is the same with Linked In.

YouTube Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

YouTube seems to be a more enjoyable and free way to promote yourself. Again though, it will take time to film videos. Then if you are like me, you are going to want to edit them and make them pretty . In addition, you will have decipher what you want to talk about. And it is free.

Pinterest Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

The one marketing avenue that I have found success with is Pinterest. Consequently, this is what other Teachers Pay Teachers have stated as well. Making pins on the Canva site is not difficult and it is free. Sometimes I get lost in time making the pins, because it is creative and can be fun. This entire process has been a creative endeavor. As I build my store, I will be returning to Pinterest to post pins that lead to my website www.snyderssunshineartstudio.com. Once they land on my website, they may click on my pin again to go my store located on the Teachers Pay Teachers website. I have them land on my own website first to drive traffic and hopefully a following. All of this results in time invested.

Number Four about How a Blog Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

Apparently, a blog is helpful to sell Teachers Pay Teachers products. However, it is about getting people to follow you. And it is about giving them content that they need or want. How are you solving their problem or making their lives easier. If your blog can provide these things, then people will follow you. They will invest time in visiting you and learning with you. Therefore, as I have learned from others, I am able to turn around to teach others. It takes time to learn new things and then to apply them for growth and success.

Number Five about How an Email List Leads to Selling Teachers Pay Teachers Products

Included in a blog is the email lists. Over and over in my learning process, I have heard people say that in order to succeed in one’s business, you need to grow an email list. Get 1000 emails and that is when you will see some traction with growing your site. Yet, you will need to develop a lead magnet. A lead magnet is something that you give out that is free in exchange for the email. Once you have the email, you can send message about your recent post, products, and continued insights, so the follower doe snot forget about you. Resulting in their return to your site and store. If they are returning, then hopefully they will buy. But again it takes time to make all the things and keep it consistent and flowing.
